Counterflow
Direct Vent Heaters vent "Direct" to the outside through an outer perimeter wall. Direct Vent Heaters are designed for installation on outer perimeter walls only. A counterflow gas furnace moves heated downward through the heater. The blower is at the top of the furnace and heated air is moved downward and exits the heater at floor level
